A week ago I had some lovely flowers... these are all from the flower border on my plot... the roses have now all had their petals knocked off, the foxglove is bent over and finished and the paeonies (in my garden) are just flat to the ground.
Mind you my neighbour Arthur and me have both had wonderful paeonies and we were having a cuppa last week and he said "as soon as the paeonies are in full bloom the rain will come"! And he was soooo right! Oh well, there's always the flowers still coming up... and next year's paeonies!!

;D ;D ;D ;D
Beautiful!
I know what you mean Lin i have the shrub rose moyesii "Geranium" in my garden that up until 2 day ago was full of blooms now it is a shrub surrounded by petals. I think flaming June.
Great pics. My Peonies are not really out yet but they get flattened every year with heavy rain or wind. The Lupins that are in the pics have flattened and broke off so I have them in the house, but lupins don't stand long indoors, shame. I thought it was going to be nice today so was going a walk but the dark clouds have moved in again, aaaarrrrh.
Super pictures, Lin. Particularly like the markings on the Foxgloves.

I'm surprised to hear that your paeonies are not out yet Carol because you are further south than I am in Manchester, at least you can hope the rain has gone before yours bloom...
and froglegs, my garden is the same, covered in petals, oh well, just looked at the forecasts for this week and it is rain and sunny intervals till Thursday then storms... great!
