Title: Seed Swap Squash Virus?
Post by: Rhubarb Thrasher on June 14, 2007, 19:00:06
haven't had it before so I can't say unmistakable, but some of my squashes seem to have Mosaic Virus

one is Red Kuri, which I got from one of the swaps - parcel no 6 or The Red One I think. Were these saved seeds anyone remember? and has anyone else who's growing them have problems?

I also have it on my spag squashes, which was my own saved seed. Unfortunately i've swapped this here myself, certainly with carolinej and cambourne7 at least. Any problems?

all my other squashes and courgettes are unaffected (as yet)

Mosaic virus presents itself in some types of squash/courgette/marrow and not other, I have had it in differant plants grown in differant areas but never had any real problem with it the plant have produced plenty of fruits, dont worry!

Not from me, as I don't save seeds. The only time I offered any homesaved was fresh from a squash I had just opened but they didn't go into a parcel, they were red Kuri but it was way back and I don't think I sent you any and I didn't keep any myself.
