Don't know anything about any of the others, but Bunyards is one of the best lettuce we've ever grown. It's a real beefy cos-type; fights back when you eat it!

And if they offer it, go for Stoke as well.

Here is some information from their catalogue.
Bunyard's Matchless.- Cos type lettuce, open heart, good for Autumn or Spring sowing, resistant to aphids, thick juicy leaves with distinctive nutty taste.
Early Market Leek.-Mild, tender leek.
Kelvedon King Leek-Selection of Giant Winter Leek, Hardy.
Poletschka climbing french bean-from the Ukraine, mid-green knobbly pods, with shiny seeds that look like blackcurrants, stringless bean crops over a long period and prolific, tasty.
Nothing about the other two beans

Is it cultural or characteristic info you are after Jennine?

If it is cultural! you basically forget about the variety and consider the genus so grow them as normal Lettuce Leek & beans.

You could keep notes on what you have done and correct any discrepancies next year e.g if they were sown to early/late as the case may be.

Sorry I can't be of any more help than that as I don't know the varieties

I was hoping for more like yield, taste, freezability, recommended yes/no. Stuff that the catalogue does not tell about. XX Jeannine

I have found that most catalogues no longer comment on taste , so I tend to think It must be poor!

I second the comment about Stoke as an outdoor/cold greenhouse winter lettuce, Bronze arrow and Loos Tennis Ball are also good in that role. Was told to stop ordering odd beans by OH!
