Title: My little rabbit
Post by: cacran on June 13, 2007, 07:48:36
Thursday planted a full bed of Cabbage and Cauliflower. Friday half was gone. Was told it would be the birds. Covered them in netting. Came round the next day. there's a little rabbit eating the stuff from under the netting, bold as brass. anyway it did not seem to upset that I was there and I didn't have the heart to frighten him away. He sems to be around everytime I go down the lottie now. think he has set up home there. Am I too soft????

Never heard of the dried blood thing.

I'd be careful where you scatter it though - it could attract foxes who then dig up the earth. My neighbour planted her spuds with fish blood and bone and then had to replant them all ... TWICE!

Mind you, attracting foxes to keep rabbits away is a possible answer to the problem  ;D

If he is that tame, I would give him a dish and put stuff in he likes, you can feed him  in any place then,  he  may then bring all his family to tea.

Yes you are soft!!

Takes one to know one

Have you christened him yet?
