Ahh, thank you everyone for your welcomes! If any of you can explain to a dimwitted technophobe how to add a picture I will be very pleased indeed and give you my recipe for elderflower cordial..mmm....xxx
Hiya and welcome!
Right - look at the top of this page. 3rd icon in from the left says profile. Click that and then click 'forum profile information' which is under 'Modify profile' on the left of the page. There is a little circle you can click in next to something like 'I will upload my own picture'. Click in the circle and then click browse. This will take you to your folders like my pictures and clipart. You can select a pic from here by clicking 'open' and then wizz down to the bottom of the page and click 'change profile'.
If this works I want that recipe!!! ;D 8)
THANK YOU! You are my technological guru!!
To make the elderflower cordial, take about ten elderflower heads,(from safe, non-car-fume-polluted place), washed; two lemons, sliced and the juice of another lemon; a cup of caster sugar(raw cane if poss); two litres water.
Bring all ingredients to the boil in a large pan, give a good stir then turn off the heat. Leave to stand until cool then sieve, preferably through muslin(or the leg of a (clean!) pair of tights. Chill thoroughly in the fridge and enjoy! You can sometimes dilute this further with water depending on your taste and also add more or less lemon/sugar.
It's really refreshing after a hot day of gardening...mmm
Ha ha - if I'm your techno guru you are in trouble!! I only know coz I've been messing with my pic a bit. you missed Captain Jack. :(
Thanks for the recipe, sounds gorgeous. Can't wait to give it a go. Do you grow elderflowers? I will have to source some seeds and get some in the plot.
Welcome to the site from me too, be warned they are not joking, it is really addictive! ;D
We are lucky to have random elders just hanging about. I've no idea how easy they are to grow from seed. They do tend to be dotted about in parks etc so if you are close to any go and sniff some out. Happy hunting!
