Title: Danbury open gardens
Post by: Mrs Ava on June 11, 2007, 13:27:59
Spent yesterday all alone walking around the village nosing in other peoples gardens.  Some amazing plots of land.  Filled with inspiration and ideas.  Visited 15 of the 18 gardens, walked most of it.  Feet ached like crazy last night but it was such a lovely day, and no family.  I felt incredibly selfish!

Great photos Emma. Don't think you should feel selfish,I think a little time on your own doing something you enjoy just adds to family exchange of what everyone did for the day. Hope you had the Radox at the ready.

I love the toadstools. I have all the ideas, but that's where it stops  ;D.
It's great to see other folks ideas, glad you had a nice day EJ.
PS. Don't feel selfish, I'm sure the children were enjoying their day too. ;)

Hey :D :D New to your forum...I am graduallly finding my way around.  I love these pictures...especially the Clematis up the tree. Is it an Ash?
The strawberry planter has inspired me...I have plenty of Sempervivum in dishes but is starting to look dull.  Will go out and get strawberry planter.

;D

I have done the same with my old strawberry planter - that is why I took the pic, to remind me.  It already looks really great.  I can't remember what the tree was with the clematis.  I loved the wooden mushrooms and know of a chap just before we join the M5 on our way to Devon that sells them, in a layby, so next journey to the west country, we shall come back with fungi! ;D
