I have a few Ferline plants in the greenhouse and i noticed that they are recommended for growing outside.
Does this mean i cant grow them in the greenhouse?
Most toms are suitable for both... I wouldn't try a small spreading bush in a G'house though! Not familiar with the variety but I would and do grow most of mine both ways...
Outdoor usually have a shorter time needed to produce ripe fruit... there has to a better way of saying that but my brain has packed up... which means they will fruit in cooler climates...
;D
Actually I think there are very few that are truly classified as greenhouse varieties, but we grow them in there because of our climate. I never used a greenhouse for tomatoes before coming back to the UK,everything was grown outside. Seed catalogues in Canada and the US presume you are growing outside.I would automatically do it here with all the earlies. I never even saw blossom end rot till I came here as well. I put a canopy over them to keep the foliage dry which prevented blight.
