Title: Digging for Victory
Post by: Garden Manager on June 08, 2007, 23:11:26
Has anyone seen this programme on satelite TV at all?

This is about a national allotment site competition. The top 9 are featured in the programmes and are judged by the presenters Chris Collins and Hannah Genders. The winner will be chosen in the final programme as the top scoring allotment site.

I was also wondered if anyones site had been involved in the competition. According to the intro blurb hundreds of sites entered and were narrowed down to the final 9 by NSALG judges. Has anyones site actualy been filmed for the programme?

Just for the record I have been watching this programme and have quite enjoyed it so far. I have even started to 'warm' to Chris Collins (The Plantsman - BBC).

I have seen some of it. It is really interesting. I always love looking at other peoples lotties.

I dont think my lottie would even be considered for the program, what with all the empty overgrown plots, the arguements and the compulsion to spray anything that stands still long enough....and even chase it to spray it if it doesnt!

cj :)

There's another thread running about this. I caught half of last night's episode. As others have said, not much practical advice, but I always like seeing other people's allotments.

Not at all, saddad, although if we'd have had time to have a proper look round your site, maybe!
