Hi Gruesome (like the name)

I take it you've got the same problem I have. I've covered almost everything on my plot , but the little beasts work together!  I've watched them gather on one piece of netting till their combined BLUE STRINGweight makes it droop low enough to peck at the tender leaves!

I've got a new remedy to try -  BLUE STRING]  I met a man today who swears by it - he says he just puts blue string across all the plants that pigeons love and they leave them alone - he never loses any thing!  It's got to be worth a try - I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks Mergles will try anything ! The guy next door hasn't even netted his ? and his brassica's are fine. My poor wallaby cauliflowers look more like the Zero models we have been reading about. I think because my plot is protected (that's a laugh ) with a wooden fence the pigeons feel more secure behind it. Anyways just got back in from allotment will take the partner a cup of coffee to bed and remind her it's time for her shift on guarding the plot. thanks again regards Mark
