I'm interested in soap making too, but am scared to death by the caustic soda thing, being very accident prone :o

I'll be watching this post with interest.

I won't be using the caustic soda stuff, I've sent off for avocado and glycerin..it's the sorts of moulds and fragrances I want to know about, how safe are they for sensitive skin 'n' things like that  ;D

Manics I have very very sensitive skin, I break out in welts and hives if I carry a cardboard box and it rests on my wrists or forearms, I can't touch fish or washing up liquid or any type of cleaning stuff and as I have a latex allergy I can't use rubber gloves either so I am very cautious about soaps and shampoos. The only soap I have been able to use for years is Dove. I was frankly amazed that Trixies soap was good on my skin, and I think she will confirm this, I washed my hands over and over one night with one of them because it felt so good, and there was no dryness or irritation at all.

Hiya Manics (and thank you Jeannine!)

I am making soap/shampoo at the moment by using a 'melt and pour' mixture - there are a few soap bases (Goat's milk, Olive Oil, organic & suspension formulas etc)

PM me for more info!
