Might it not be a good thing, during the growing season - even if not beautiful - to cover the brick with 'Mylar' - or even white card? Could make a huge difference? = Tim

It will probably look a bit different soon, as I'll be digging up the spuds and replacing them with French Beans. Won't look so jungley then.
