I finally got round to ripping the old chipboard floor out of the shed I inherited when I took over my lottie and only got so far as there seems to be bees nest under the wood floor :o
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get them to go live somewhere else ?
Contact your local bee keeping society. Maybe one of their members will take them away from you.

If it's under the floor it's either bumblebees, which can be moved, or wasps. let us know where you are and I can get a contact number for the local Beekeepers' Association.
They are definitely under the floor :o I was hoping that as I'd already taken half of the floor out they would take the hint but they were still there this morning ! I'm in Newcastle Upon Tyne so if you can come up with details of anyone up here who could help me out I'd appreciate it.
My next door neighbour has bumble's under his shed. His son lives in it!....No problem at all. He does his thing, they do theirs. But if you have be rid of them, Loon', I hope you manage to do it where someone benefits.
I'm happy to leave them where they are but I don't think they will be keen on my plans for the shed - the previous owner kept chickens in it so the chipboard floor has seen better days and I had plans to replace it.
I don't think I can work round them - so it's either leave it as it is for now or "persuade" them to leave !
If we could get some decent weather up here I'd forget all about the shed ;)

Going on events on my number two plot last year when I planted toms against the side of my shed where bees are living under the loose plywood floor.
I think that if you replace the floor they will reburrow under the outside of your shed and make new entrances and repair the damage.
I just do whatever I have to do around and in the shed and the bees do whatever they have to do. I haven`t raised the floor because I don`t need to but I certainly upset them from time to time and they don`t sting and soon recover. I`m happy to have them because I guess they are pollinating my crops.
A shed I inherited had the remains of a chewed wood nest under the floor and it was amazingly strong and difficult to remove. It didn`t contain any bodies so I don`t know if it was bees or wasps.
