very nice :-)
I've just been working out how many weeks I had planted my first earlies as I fancied some new spuds but won't buy them. I've got two more weeks to wait.
Looking good Davy, Jeannine couldn't make it so I'll be around at 5, don't forget to chill the Stella. :P ;D ;D ;D
Mine will have been in 14 weeks on Saturday. We tried the RDY last weekend and decided that they should be left at least another week, but now I am so tempted to try the anya, mimi and Maris Bard. None of the earlies have flowered, but their lower leaves are going yellow (is that lack of water, too much water?) The main crop in pots are flowering, and the seconds are yet to flower (they went in 4 wks after the firsts).
I just really want to harvest them, and get teh space used for something else now!
davy, tell us what they were like????? :P maybe show us an empty plate ;)
We always seem to get a freebie packet of something when we order spuds,so we have a foot high raised bed for them, we always dig them tiny, this bed usually keeps us going till the first earlies come along. It is always a challenge to get some by May to have with the asparagus, the cucumber, and first tomato.
Sadly our first tomato was Sunday so we missed the May deadline this year.
