Title: feeding veg plants

when should i start feeding my veg plants i believe i can use tomato food for all veg full strength for toms and half strength for all else is this correct, i also have some arthur bowers plant food granules which can be spread around is this better worse same? when is the best time of day to feed and do all veg need feeding have all the usual suspects in growing cues, toms, beans peas, pots, strawbs, carrots, onions etc etc thanks in advance

Depending upon what you did when you planted out you may only need to further feed the Tomatoes & Cucumber.

before planting out and whilst preparing the ground i dug in a large amount of home made compost but nothing more then that

Then perhaps the following would be best;

toms, = Tom feed (once a week)
beans = pellets (once per season)
peas,= nothing
pots, = nothing
strawbs, =Tom feed (after flowering)
carrots, = pellets (once per season)
onions = Tom feed** Possibly twice;  once when the start swelling, then again about four weeks later

**( I am not sure if your pellets contain any nitrogen and onions don't want any nitrogen from the time they begin swelling)

brilliant thank you very much all noted i assume peppers and chillis, pumpkin and courgette and cues all need feeding too sorry to be a pain working my way round the garden

Morrisons supermarket are currently doing a great deal on pelleted chicken poo! quite a large tub for just over £3. The versatile chicken worth as much alive as it is dead :)
