Title: Aubergines in 10" pots
Post by: veggiewomble on June 04, 2007, 14:57:01
Will aubergine plants thrive in 10" pots? I'm running out of space on my balcony (no allotment) so these need to go into pots.

The plants are only about 3" high at the moment, with maybe 4-5 leaves. I wonder if they'll produce any aubergines at all...

Yes!  ::)

Sorry perhaps I should have mentioned that I got up to half a dozen fair sized fruit (?) per plant.

This year I am growing them in a bed so will be able to make a comparison!!

Yes they grow well in those buckets-I cut out the bottoms and put two in a gravel tray-sort of a mini ring culture.

I've never grown them in anything other than 10" pots. (Apart from the odd one left over which I've put outside as a decorative dot plant and has produced nothing.)
