Title: Fire bugs
Post by: kenkew on June 01, 2007, 12:33:10
Like ladybirds, there seems to be quite a lot of Fire bugs around. Popping out for a walk with my camera, back later with a pic or two.

Bit neutral, Manic'. They aren't a preditor but they don't seem to cause harm either. Usually found around the base of lime trees. I'll see if I can get a macro pic of one next week. Like you say, quite fascinating.

This isn't a macro shot, it's a zoom of the above but it shows the colouring better of adults and nymphs.
