Lunching with |Dame Vera in a couple of weeks at a 'signing'.
Much thought on how to catch her eye.
Dame Vera?
Miss Lynn?
We dismissed the idea of Aloe Vera!!
My Dads favourite Tim, they even played the song We'll Meet Again as we left the funeral when he died, very much part of my family,I ma envious XXX Jeannine
Oh lucky, lucky you. Can you put me in your pocket please? Certainly one of my parents favourites and mine. When I saw her on television few months ago she was addressed as Dame Vera. Apparently it was 10years ago when she last sang in public. Wonder if you will be able to take any photos.
Being a Rochdale lass, i am sure she will be happy with whatever one prefers. ;D
I am sure that she will be comfortable in the knowledge that you are :)
Have a fantastic day Tim!
I believe I share her birthday ! ;D
Well, you're looking pretty good on it!!
the day you buffoon, not the year. (http://img116.exs.cx/img116/1231/z7shysterical.gif)

Oh go on tim, i dare you ;D
;D ;D ;D ;D
She will never have heard it before...
;)
I thought seeing as she is a Dame you should call her Duck's.
Hope you have a great time Tim am sure you will. We will look forward to hearing the story when you have been. Am sure she is a personality in the true meaning of the word. Enjoy!!!
She's not the one from Oz with the funny glasses is she.... :D .......Have fun, I bet you'll be singing after the signing! ;)
Thats's Dame Edna ans she is a him!!
Aha, a meeting of two great personalities I predict! Enjoy, as I'm sure will Dame Vera..CLx
Aha! A voice from space. Hope all's going well.
I even had a haircut this am. Now got to decide whether to wear blue or green!!
Not just the person or the voice but, for one, the White Cliffs of Dover were what made our hearts return to normal when returning from a sortie over France.
What a great experience Tim. I'm sure you will have no trouble at all in 'catching her eye'! ;)
An easy way to spoil the illusion (& who cares??) is to view the check list:
1. Clean hankie.
2. Camera batteries.
3. Hearing aid battery.
Oh Tim wear the blue, have a lovely day,I am quite envious XX Jeannine
;D
I think you should add Flowers to the checklist Tim! Bet she would be impressed!
;)
No - just a damned good hug from all us oldies.
And she's VERY huggable!!
And outlasted me after some 5 hours of chatting & signing.
Oooh Tim, I hope you had a lovely day! Dame Vera still looks so good doesn't she, she's amazing. Glad you enjoyed a hug... :o
Two lovely ladies there and half a man, is that you Tim? I am pleased the day went well. I was wondering when the Dame Vera occasion was going to appear again.
What a lovely picture, I hope that you enjoyed the day
Brilliant photo Tim. Big thank you for sharing it with us. You lucky lad!!!!!
Me? No, I was in green & behind the camera! Maybe they'll send me one.
Enjoy? Great to meet Vera - a bundle of fun - but a very long day, with 3 hours driving & 4 hours signing.
