Very pleased with it thus far.
Very nice shirlton ;D I shall have a greenhouse like that one day... ;)
looking good, shirlton..some of our toms have greenfly on even with the marigolds :(
still, every time I find a ladybird, I pop it on them :)
me too. Ive had to spray already. I'm tellin meself that it would be worse without the marigolds.lol
Kitten the Gh was given to us and is made up of a mixture of glass and old poly carbonate that is quite frosted but I think it's working better than clear myself.
Shirl everything looks great. My toms are not as big as yours, my marigolds have not got flowers on yet BUT I am not going to admit all is due to my novice status, it's just
because I was late in sowing seeds!!! ;D
Looking better than ours as well!
;D
now i could not get french marigolds to grow this year i sowed 3 packets and got 2 plants i even tried them in a hanging basket in the G/H but those slimey bas**rds
still got at them got plenty tomsbut i envy your marigolds shirl
marg
don't know if this is any help to anyone, or if it would work for tomato's but grew
garlic under my roses, and greenfly that were there disappeared in a week or so.
Great Nan, ( just had my 3rd great grandchild, but it's the 1st boy.) :)
1. Why are the tomatoes in pots - why not grow them straight into the bed?
2. Haven't thought of gowing flowers in the 'house - great idea.
3. Like the bamboo frame - I shall go and set one up in 'house tomorrow.
Also snap! I also got a free greenhouse - had to remove it form a site being built on. It's about the same size as yours and is absolutely brilliant - especially on a cold January's day with a cup of tea.
We grew chives under the roses, it kept the greenfly away, but they suffered terribly from black spot :(
Davee I presume the bases of the pots are cut out. Water outside the pot.Feed inside the pot. (Ring culture). Suppose to encourage root growth and better yield.

You got it in one Davee. Of course the pots were from asda. The marigolds don't get rid of all the grenfly but I think it reduces them and they do look nice don't they. Will take another pic as soon as the weather improves and we can get up there
What a lovely little Eden you've got there. Looks fab, Shirl!
