Title: Cabbage & Cauliflower pest
Post by: Wheatyman on May 20, 2007, 20:06:49
Hi all
Hope someone can help only had my allotment about 8 weeks I bought some cabbage & cauliflower plants from the local garden centre and planted them out all’s been well until today. When weeding I noticed a small area on the leaves, purplish in colour with small flies on them.  Any ideas what they are and what can I do to get rid of them.

Sounds like the start of Mealy aphids... check on the reverse of the purple patches for grey mush... and squish it...
