Title: Is it blight and if so what to do?
Post by: emmy1978 on May 18, 2007, 18:46:24
my toms have got greyish/silver spots on the leaves. I am assuming the worst - what do i do?
Have picked lots of leaves off but now what? Should i cut my losses and resow? Half of them were for this flaming school fair so won't have time for that (July 7th) will i have time for my own?
Am so disappointed.  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( Boo Hoo.

I'm no expert but I think [hope] it's too early for blight.  More likely sun scorch after watering.  Don't panic!  :)

Well they'd better sort themselves out then coz i'm not impressed.
Sorry but did panic as they've all done it so i thought you can't all be scorched/depressed! Just want this fair over and done with as I am now convinced everything is going to die about a week before hand!!

aww Em dont worry it'll be fine, and if all your toms peg it (which they wont) i am sure wotsisname up the school will sort us out  :P ;D.

seriously i do think your toms will be fine, mine have marks on the leaves too but generally they look really healthy so i am not worried.  yours looked fine when i saw them a day or two ago, famous last words...

It's far too early for blight so don't worry about it. That happens in late summer.
