Title: Is it 2 late to cut back fruit bushes
Post by: cambourne7 on May 17, 2007, 17:00:30
Hi Guys.

I was given a tayberry and logan berry from a fellow allotment holder a couple of weeks ago.

The Plants where ok where they were and as much of the root was taken with them when they were dug but but that still was not much.

The Plants have never been cut or trimmed and were in place for 2 years.

Since i planted them in a bed of nice compost and have watered well.

But a lot of the leaves have died back and i am concered that the plants might be dying. I was wondered if i should cut the plants down as some of the growth are 8 ft long.

In the circumstances I would definitely cut them back fairly severely...
