Am having a go this year and was wondering how big the final pot needs to be - haven't managed to get any flower buckets yet ...........
If you reckon that they suggest up to 3 to a 25-30l grow bag...........?

Last year I grew one chillis and two pepper plants on the allotment with no real protection and they gave an really good harvest. But the plants in late summer and autumn were also very pretty and it seemed a waste that they were on the allotment.
So, I am going to grow my peppers and chillis in pots at home on the patio this year - in different sized terracotta pots. The patio is backed by a wall and is south facing. As the pots I use are usually full of flowers I am hoping that this will a decorative and productive display. I am using a range of sizes - but basically the smallest pot I will use will be about 10" diameter and I will plant a single small chilli in these pots. The larger chilli and peppers will go in pots up to 18" diameter.
I am using compost with water retaining granules added, and will add high potash feed/seaweed feeds every couple of weeks when the fruit develop.
Scrumpie - a typical bucket is 9l?

I usually plant 6 to 8 pepper plants to a growbag in the Greenhouse. Obviously, you have to keep and eye on the watering, but I am doing that already for the tomatoes.
