Title: How to cook Pigeons
Post by: Joe11 on May 12, 2007, 11:35:43
I have got a couple of pigeons that my brother shot for me but never cooked them before, so just wondered if any one has any simple but tasty recipes for them??

Cheers
Joe

pigeon is chewy so put in oven for a few hours with some veg and water/red wine.

I cut out the breasts & fry for a few minutes each side. There's not a lot else on them... and at least it's easy to see the shot holes.

This is what I do - mine are head shot so no problems.
Quickly fry with a good lump of redcurrant jelly and a handfull of herbs and just before theyre cooked whack in a load of cream. Goes well with mash
