Title: Grass trimmer - the sequel
Post by: allotment_chick on May 28, 2004, 17:52:18
...or rather, the review.  You may recall the earlier grass trimmer thread.

Well, I did it - bit the bullet, flashed the credit card and purchased a set of Wolf battery operated shears with a telescopic handle.  Pricey!

Gizmo arrived yesterday and charged overnight - took it for a test drive this afternoon

WHAT A FANTASTIC PIECE OF KIT !!

First charge lasted 45 minutes (not bad, techy husband advises me) and it went through everything like butter - even thick stemmed grassy stuff (which I think is wheat from seeds in the manure) were felled.  I'm well chuffed.  If like me you can't manage a lawnmower or strimmer I'd highly recommend it!

Bring on the rain - let the grass grow - I'm now equipped to deal with it!

I`m pleased you got the solution to your weedy problem. Count your fingers and toes when you finish - take care.

AC...presume as you say they've got a telescopic handle, you can cut this grass etc. from a standing up position?....if so...sounds great!

I have indeed HP - an extra, but indispensable for this baby boomer!  It's easier than doing the hoovering!  ....Well it is for me as I don't much care for housework....I'd rather be gardening! :D
