Title: Pumpkins, how much space
Post by: Joe11 on May 10, 2007, 17:00:49
I have some pumpkin seeds now, kindly given to me by Jeannine, and i was just wondering if any one has any info on how little space i could get away with to grow them in. They are called "sugar Pie" and from what i have been able to find out about them they do not grow very large, so hopefully thats a plus point when it comes to space saving. So any info would be great.

Cheers
Joe

As much as possible... Jeannine will know more about this specific one but they like lots of space...

4 feet in all directions ,or grow them up a trellis XX Jeannine I do have loads more the way if anyone needs a tasty one for pumpkin pies, I will send my own recipes XX

I should add I give my squash and pumkins more space than this if I can  as I have a mixed patch with some very big squash in,but these are small and you can get away with it if you need to.
