Title: Sacks
Post by: SueSteve on May 07, 2007, 07:47:23
Hi,
I am thinking ahead to storage.
Looking through the T&M half price seed sale, I noticed that they do onion sacks... £3.49 (half price) for 10 bags.
I am wondering where I can get potato sacks. I have found a site online which does them by the billion, and offers samples, I am wondering if I can be cheeky and ask for samples! But then would they keep hassling me to buy some.
How do you store your veg?

do you know anyone who works in catering?

Our canteen goes through a sack of potatoes every other week, just ask them to put them to one side. If you dont know anyone ask at the local chppy etc

A couple of weeks ago they had 2-ply paper sacks available in Poundland, 5 in a pack for (oddly enough) a pound.  These would be suitable for storing your spuds, but I wouldn't fill them right up as they are HUGE.

I have seen the identical packs available on EBay for in excess of a fiver.

I go to my local animal feed shop.

I get all the 4 ply paper bags I need!
