Just found this seed site, they sell loads of unusual and oriental seeds, I'm off for further investigation
http://www.kitazawaseed.com
Looks interesting, though they don't give any details about shipping outside of North America. I've emailed them a question, but as they are in California I doubt I'll get a response much before 4.30pm
Have sent them an email too!! They'll wonder whats going on!! ;) :D
Biscombe shame on you, sending us another seed company.. can't chat right now, have to go and look !!!! XX Jeannine
Oh no!! the plastics going to get some more hammer!!
their carrots look gorgeous, and the red turnip too
Dont get too excited, they dont ship outside USA :(
Oh no, shame..... :'(
They have agreed to send to me, I am waiting for the quote back now on the price of the bigger packets I asked about, and I also want to know there shipping charges .Will keep you up to date as I get to know. XX Jeannie
Where theres a will theres a way!! ;) cant wait to see how you get on!fancy some of the aubergines!!!!
They did say in their e amail they would ship but will not replace if lost with International. I would have no problem with this as most companies overseas say this, I have only had 1 package go astray and that was compensated by the post office eventually. Of course their shipping charges may be ridiculous ,most are very fair but 1 conmpany I ordered from was disgusting, so we will see. If I decide to go with it as it is some of the squash I am after in big packets I will let you know. I also fancy some of the Oriental greens as many cannot be got here,
We shall see XX Jeannine
;D
And me.
(sob!) ME WANT PICKLING MELON! (stamps foot) :'(
Which one I may have it XX Jeannine
Any one of them would do me, Jeannine if you had a seed to spare - the very idea of pickling melon has got me going. Only trouble is, have I got a jar with a wide enough neck?
;D ;D ;D
Also like the look of the perilla (shiso), though it's available in the UK from Beans and Herbs:
http://www.beansandherbs.co.uk/organicherbseed.htm
By the way, did you notice the water pepper's other name?... KNOTWEED! (cue dramatic music!)
I just looked and I don't have them , I have three melon cucumbers fro Franchi.
I do have some shiso.
I also have just had an e amil from them giving me prices for the 1/4 pound lots I was interested in but I find their prices are high as I deliberatley put some in that I can get somewhere else in large quantities. I have amiled them back to see if they will still supply me if I buy a quantity of small packets, I think they will. I have asked for their shipping rates,if it high I won't use them but I might be able to find the pickling melon elsewhere,
I will let you know XX Jeannibe
I have found your pickling melons 3 types at Evergreen Seeds in the US,they are a company only selling Oriental veggies, they do ship to the UK $10 for up to 1pound weight and they seem to have everything that the other company had. I think I have ordered from them long time ago, take a look XX Jeannine
Great site, Jeannine, and the shipping cost of $10 is reasonable when you consider the current exchange rate - works out at just over a fiver.
I've just got a catalogue through from Plants of Distinction - their range is good too esp for Toms.
Hello
Great seed's Like look of the coloured carrots i assume they taste the same, My mum was looking at the chinese cabbages i am growing some now called 1kilo,Also the tomato's look good.
Will investigate later
Cheers
Brogusblue
I really don't need any seeds at all,I was thinking about next year with the other one actually but if anyone decides to order from Evergreen I will join in and share the shipping cost if you wish, let me know. XX Jeannine
John has just looked over my shoulder and said " more seeds, you need a full filing cabinet now almost, then added as he wandered off " actually you need a Doctor!
Cheeky old devil
I'll send Namissa round; if she thinks you need sectioning, she'll find you a bed in a nice hospital, and get two doctors to sign the form in no time. They get paid 170-odd quid, love doing it; they just believe whatever the social worker tells them.
Robert, you are as bad as he is...I think I will post to the world that my geriatric OH has a collection of Rupert Bear stuff that any sane reasonable person would think is over the top. His study cum part time bedroom had Rupert Bear curtains, quilts, cushions, wall hangings, clocks, plates, soap, and all other sorts of things, plus he has all the annuals back to 1949 and he is searching for the rest, plus he has about 40 Rupert Bears sitting on the tops of all the wardrobes. I think you should book us a double room XXX Jeannine
