Title: Computing Message boards
Post by: Garden Manager on May 03, 2007, 10:39:55
Whilst i appreciate the help and advice members on A4all provide on the subject of  computing, I do sometimes feel a bit awkward asking questions when I all too often need help. This is after all a gardening and allotments forum, not a computer forum.

So i was wondering if anyone knew of any good computing/technology  message boards, where an amateur computer/tech user like me could go for advice from similare people. Kind of an A4all for computing, if you like.

Thanks

There are lots of them online, but they are usually very specific - i.e if you use Windows or Macs, or other specific operating systems like Linux. There usually aren't any generic "computer" forums so you need to know what you're looking for. There's also support fora for various popular software. There isn't usually a one-size-fits-all forum when it comes to computers.

Thanks for your replies. found the last suggestion most helpfull. Have now registered.

After earlier replies i had wondered if I ought to start my own, if there was nothing suitable out there. However 'Build Your own PC Forum' looks about right.

Thanks again.
