... for a good cause, a local Hospice in Preston. I've been collecting a bit of money with a "man bingo" card, which has gone down a treat in my workplace! I'm posting this message on here simply to see if anyone would like to add to my sponsorship for the walk (which is a half marathon taking place at midnight on June 2nd). I know that because it's a local charity many people will not have heard of it and I by no means want people to feel they have to donate (I know the feeling when the "dreaded" sponsor forms come round), but if anyone feels moved to do so then any amount will be greatly appreciated - even a pound! It all counts. I have set up a page with a secure online payment website, linked below on my signature. There is information on the Hospice and the walk on there too. Sorry for this rambling, I'm keen to raise money for the charity but feel awkward posting a message about it!
And thank you in advance to anyone who donates!
:)
Wishing you a safe passage!
PM me a postal addy and I will send you a cheque...

is it paypal, sally..I've got rid of my credit card, I suppose I could send a cheque ?..if it's paypal, I can pay out of the bank, quicker for you..let me know and I'll sort something out, hospices need all the support they can get, we support the one in wigan :)
Hi manics, the website just says that it is "Verisign Secured" and it accepts Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Delta and Solo. Don't think it's paypal, it normally says doesn't it? I cheque is fine also, sent to me but payable to St Catherine's Hospice. Whichever is best for you!
;D
pm your addie, will send a cheque then :)
Ooh, I'm doing one too - the same night for St. Michael's Hospice here in Harrogate, but our's is a quarter marathon.
I signed up to do it in memory of SuperSprout and Will very kindly gave me his blessing, which I greatly appreciat.
Is this a national event for hospices?
Lillypad
Have made a little contribution for you. It's close to my heart, having 2 parents with cancer & a grandmother with a tumor that sticks 2 feet out of her stomach. All the best with it - hope your feet last out!
Ollie
Ollie - thank you very much for your donation! Just spotted you on the fundraising page. :)
Lillypad - I don't know if it's a national event? I know that St Catherine's is an individual little hospice here in Preston - but it's a bit coincidental isn't it?!
