Title: Sweetcorn Heat or Light
Post by: gary on April 29, 2007, 23:23:52
I have just planted my sweetcorn, will they germinate better in the heat of the house but in poor light as I have no window sills left or in full light in an un heated green house?

The heat of the house is probably better to start with but they must go into good light once germinated. Spending the daytime outside is better than any windowsill.

warmth rather than light to germinate ,if you think about it the seed is under soil and cant  see light anyway. therefore light is irrelevant until it has germinated and poking through the soil
