After waiting about a year for a shed finally one of my clients has decided to give theirs a pension. Now the problem arises as to where should it be sited? All my space is occupied and seedlings in pots are double parked waiting for crops To mature so that they can nip in quickly.
Pondering over my dielemma, my eyes focused on the wild plot behind me that the Council have deemed unfit to let due to the wild state of it and the lack of pennies in the tin.

Decided it would be best if I phoned the Allotments officer for permission and he told me that the Council would not be clearing the site for at least two years so I could put my shed there. He then warned me that once it was decided to clear the plot, I would have to remove my shed immediately or take the plot.
What would you do?
Depends on their track record .. do they tend to do things when they say that they are going to do them. If not, if they are "manyana" types then go for it.

I`d park the shed and clear some spaces for some gurilla gardening, a hidden pumpkin patch would be a good start.

Looks like it, but from the Councils point of view they get the plot reclaimed into a lettable condition for £26.40. Their own contractors would charge more than that just for the tea breaks.
I am already well aware that there is a good plot under all that scrub, my existing plots were not in much better condition just over one year ago. I've made a start with the high-level clearance now just require the low-level clearance and leveling and I will be ready for the shed.

My new shed is half constructed.......in my front garden! OH is making it in bits and claims "it will all go together......" when we get it to the plot....whenever that will be! :-\

Still requires a bit of repair here and there, the roof felting up and the windows refitting but is already quite cosy. The base is 6" x 2" roofing joists from a convenient skip. Quicker and cheaper than concrete and remains fully portable.
