Title: Feeding time
Post by: MattyJC on April 28, 2007, 21:25:05
Put some meal worms out this evening, I guess it took these about 10 Min's to find! The worms were meant for my robin who is rearing chicks in a yucca plant about 20ft from the feeder!

Regards

Matt

Wow!  What a lovely photo.  I always think there is something endearing about baby starlings.   ;D

Lovely photo Matt.

I believe i have the very same bird feeding station  ;D

So did the robin get a look in then or was she not bothered at the lengths you went to to help her?

Some birds are just so unappreciative ::)  ;)

Robin was back in force today  ;D and the starling family, along with Blue tits, Sparrows, Collared Dove and Pigeons were relegated to the floor or the hanging feeders.
I nearly took the feeder down a few weeks ago as it had been up for months with no birds giving it a second look, then all of a suddun it went mad, which is a real pleasure to see. My 2 and a half year old daughter has had a lot of fun from it too, and me being the proud dad am happy to say she can identify all the birds we get  ;D

I love starlings :D I think it's the way they 'strut about'!
