Title: Nemaslug
Post by: katynewbie on April 28, 2007, 20:38:42
I have read the blurb and looked at the prices. Anyone any thoughts on it? Is it worth the money? Does it really do what it says on the tin?

Yes and no...
I've used it for several years and am beginning to get almost slug free beds...
the problems are... getting them in before they go out of date, not easy if it hasn't rained for weeks, they don't like my claysoil and I never remember the follow up six weeks later...
Overall I think they are good as I am still buying them!

We've used them, just the one dose plus follow up 6 months later. OH wasn't keen on them being stored in the fridge!
You won't notice an immediate affect, but long term, there'll be a decline in slugs. Big slugs aren't affected I don't think.

we dosed out garden last autumn once, and have just done it a couple o f weeks ago (we have gone for a every 6 week option) we have noticed a massive fall in the number of slugs since this time last year so it must work. However, the amount of snails are filling the void :(

Sadly they don't affect snails... a good boot does though!

I hear you, spent the last 3 nights going out after dark for stomping sessions. Although with the amount that seem to be about it feels like Rorkes Drift all over again  ;D

In my early days on the plot I spent several hours out with a torch after dark.. the best total was 450+ but I got fed up with counting!
