Title: Wanted (I think) Pink Fir Apple
Post by: sand on April 26, 2007, 19:32:16
We have our Charlottes in and doing well and no room for any more spuds this year, but I was wondering if it's too late to try some Pink Fir Apple spuds in compost sacks?

What do you think?

Oh, I almost forgot, has anyone got a few stray Pink Fir Apple seed potatoes that need a good home please?

As a late main you could still start them off but they will need to grow until the mid of Oct... in a bag you could bring them in as protection against late frost or blight..
just use a couple from a supermarket packet...

Thought I'd found some, Broomfield Nurseries £1.10 per kilo, free delivery.

Then got an email to say they only deliver around Dundee.  Unless I want to pay £5.00 postage!  Bit excessive I think for a couple of spuds to put into sacks.

Still hunting...
