Lots more done this weekend.
Got almost all my tomatoes out in the greenhouse. They are looking really good.

;D
All looking really healthy Chris :)
:) I daren't put them out all night,
I'm treating them like newborns and bringing them in...................
yours look very well I must say /shades x
:P :P drooling at the sight of all those black buckets !!
What is the plant in the pinkish pot ?
I love the tomato which is in flower - when did you sow it Chris - it's way ahead of any of mine.
mc, I usually get my black buckets from Morrisons - got about 100, but yesterday I was in our local Co-op & asked them what they did with theirs & they said they threw them away. They are going to keep them for me - too far for you to come but may be worth trying your local Co-op.

If I remember correctly it was around mid january. Only did it as a test of germination, but i just couldnt get rid of it. Glad i didnt.
it looks great, and so tidy!! i'm a very messy gardener, no neat rows and there's always at least one unlabeled tray growing in the greenhouse that can't identify or remember planting.
I do my best ;)
Have a bad habit about things being lined up correctly
hmm, virgo ? libra ?
Chris - how long have your toms been in the greenhouse?
I pay the penalty for raising mine in the lean-to ... leggy plants.
Which reminds me - must spread mine out - theoretically the leaves should not touch.
Very impressive Chris. I seem to be soooo behind. My toms are still small, but I keep giving them a pep talk in the hope they will be big and beautiful.
Took them to a friend to look after (housed in plastic greenhouse) whilst we were away. Shan't do that again. They were well cared for, but I don't think they liked being shifted about. Still, they look glad to be home now.
mc55, not Libra I'm thinking. I can't do anything in a straight line-even with a plumb line ;D
libra here as well, maggie, don't like straight lines, can't even walk one.. ;D
hope you enjoyed your break, even if the toms were upset :)

The biggest plant has been in since 25th March and the rest around mid April
Chris. are you leaving the carrots & parsnips in the buckets? does it work well?
Oh dear, Tim, I haven't got room for mine not to touch!
You really are organised - it all looks really healthy. Great photos!
For those with small toms, don't worry, they will still romp away and reward your wait with buckets full of juicy sweet toms. ;D

Well last year carrots in buckets worked great! Just normal compost.
Not sure about the parsnips as i havent grown them before. ;)

why is that tim ? i've read it before but never known why.
::)
Heaven knows, but it's a very old teaching. And I'm sure it it more important than giving root room.
Just been & done mine. Better late than never.
tonight I'm sorting out some babies to go to new homes, sadly i cannot look after them all, much as i would like.
I shall do it then.
;D
I thought it was coz they stick together, the wee hairs stick like velcro onto other leaves.

Looking good
Like me; it looks likeyou spend as much time on the camera as you do gardening ;D
Keeping a photographic record certainly helps with record keeping and explanations in the event of problems.
Just one thought how do you think you will get in to the greenhouse when all those plants on the central footpath develop?? ;D

i've got three boxes all ready to be taken to work tomorrow. i've even printed up help sheets to stop the philistines killing them all before the week is out.
i don't think any of them will love them as much as i do.
