Have just visited Auntie food site and saw a post asking for recipes for using Le Creuset pans! Needless to say, given the time, posting time was closed! Misguidedly, I was under the impression that you just use pots and pans for whatever you want to cook, unless it is a fondue or raclette set!
Ooh! I must be getting old and very cynical, made me spit nails! Or am I being very cruel? Sorry, ex caterer! But even so, learned to cook at grandmother's knee which probably accounts for a lot of my spleen!
Cast iron pans are lovely but I thought you just used them like anything else!
Sorry folks, just on my soap box again! ;D ??? ;D

I thought that post was a sad reflection on today's education in the home? = Tim
Me too Tim! I sometimes wonder how people get through life when I see those sort of questions! Never mind, get back to my stainless steel and carry on cooking! ;D ;D ;D

SKK for me! = Tim
Got Le Creuset pans in my cupboard, awful things, they burnt everything.
My sister has an orange le Creuset set, and never ever uses them, to hard to keep clean and she says you are not allowed to use regular utensils in them! Why...who is watching? The Le Creuset Police? She uses a cheap woolies set, The Le Creuset are purely for show!
I have some le creuset pans, (griddle, fry pan and a marmetout casserole) casserole particularly useful but hate using them as they are so heavy :P, need arms like mike tyson to lift them much prefer the stainless steel ones.

I have a le creuset casserole - IMHO brilliant for boiling the washcloths in, useless for cooking!

Must be a sign that a lot of people agree with what has been said here. Brother picked up whole set of Le Creuset pans plus casserole dish and the stand for the pans for £7 in local car boot sale :o Like most he only uses them for show. ::)
