Title: Websites
Post by: HealerDave on April 22, 2007, 13:46:55
Anybody any info please on FREE webspace for a small website for our little church, it's a minefield out there on the web! 'Windows Live' offer everything but, they require a credit card just to verify you are who you say you are to avoid scam sites etc using their system, and I do not have one.  ???

Any info greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Freewebs is good, I used them for a while and had no probs.
I still use them now for picture hosting.
Really easy to use and free!

If you have an ISP like Virgin they give you a certain amount of free webspace about 50 megs i think.

Or you could do a blog - I recommend Blogger but there are others. Just makes it even easier to update, etc, without having to have a web designer. :) And you still get a unique name: yourname.blogspot.com

I have a blog with my website plus another one that I get for free through www.wordpress.com

http://blog.scholes-family.co.uk/ (http://blog.scholes-family.co.uk/)

http://wolfliketheblog.wordpress.com/ (http://wolfliketheblog.wordpress.com/)

These are just examples but if you don't want to do much other than tell people about yourself and show photo's then a blog will do.
