Well please wish me well.
It has been a very funny year.I planted my squash as I always do quite early, then moved them up in pots as I always do,then put them in a cold greenhouse as I always do until ready to go out inmid May...but this year the greenhouse has not been cold and even with the door open for 2 weeks they are growing like mad,so with flowers on they had to go out today,no choice, they would have died if I had not done so.
So all 28 of them are in the open ground!!!
I put out summer squash last weekend under poly tunnels but these guys are on their own.
I guess I am going to sweat a little for the next wee while but it was Hobsons choice I am afraid.

Cover them with fleece if the weather looks like turning chilly. mine will probably be going out early as well, under cloches.
ours are going out on monday, still some not germinated :)
Good luck
Can't cover with fleece there is an allotment full !! 28 squash planted with 6 feet between plants and rows. Xx Jeannine
Are they too big for the cut-in-half 2lt bottle, Jeannine? Will follow this thread with interest as some of mine are getting too big for the greenhouse [no flowers yet] but I am too scared to risk them yet.
Yes, they are 18 inches high and about as wide XX Jeannine
