Post by: Mrs Ava on April 21, 2007, 19:30:53
Well, fingers crossed.  According to metcheck, my part of Chelmsford is forecast rain on Tuesday then again on Thursday.  I really really hope so!  We are yet to have any April showers!

Oh thank heaven!  I'm sunburnt from being on the allotment today and have spent the evening feeling easily as dehydrated as the poor soil up there  :(

Well the BBC weatherman this evening showed a lovely band of rain covering the north of Englandcoming in tomorrow.  How jealous am I!  Looks like we might be lucky Tuesday, but most likely Wednesday.  My parsnip seeds are never going to germinate at his rate!

Hasn't stopped all morning in South Chesh.  Bit of a pain as today is the only day I have any lottie time until Saturday & I'm really behind in getting things in.  I'm really glad its raining for the flower garden as it's been parched, so if it carries on, I might just get into my waterproofs, put some covers on the car seat and squelch down to the lottie anyway & at least get some potatos in.

Frantically watering my seedlings planted out yesterday before going away for what seems to be a very hot week here (East Sussex) I actually got quite damp in the brief drizzle.  I was the only damp thing though, ground remained dry as a bone.
