I find I get better germination results doing it this way.
I know that the seed is charged with moisture prior to sowing something I don't know if I just put them directly into compost.
Usually I don't have to water my compost again till after germination.
I have often found that the seed tends to rot off more often when done the 'direct into compost way.
Plus they germinate faster, meaning I can sow later and this is better than having them hanging about in pots awaiting planting out.
About ready to start our sweet corn Tee Gee... may pre-soak ours...
:-\
Brillaint sized Tom plants Tee Gee, my peppers are about the same size but Toms are significantly smaller
I'm so jealous! :-[ They ALL look fantastic!
Well done!
