I have a weather station in my garden, and here on the Mersey Riviera, today is the 28th day without rain!
The minimum temperature was 3.8 and the maximum 20.9.
21 days have been sunny.
2 weeks ago during a match at Anfield 5 miles away there was torrential rain.
I do not like watering newly planted seeds and I have rows of ungerminated ones awaiting rain.
Have we got to change our whole perception of planting times and moisture management?

There's definitely something odd going on. I had to fill my bird bath this morning as we've not had any substantial rain for weeks either.
I'm almost at the point of panicking about the blueberries!

Global warming. I've just read that the Australian government is on the verge of cutting off irrigation to their most important agricultural area. Cheer up, it could be worse.
The more rockets everyone sends up into space with satellites, space station bits, tracking equipment and the like, the more holes they make..... that's my humble opinion anyway :(
We'll have to change that weather rhyme about April showers then!
Hasn't rained her for over three weeks either... we have a whole inch predicted for the first half of next week, I'll believe it when I feel it!
???
I so hope it rains next week - this change in the weather really worries me :(
I heard the weather man mention rain on the TV tonight, but by the time I'd dashed in front of it, his little picture had gone - anyone know where its heading ? I think he said it was next week.

I read a report that said parts of Australia would have to start drinking treated sewage water. Now that is scarey. :o :o
5 day weather check is showing rain down in my neck of the woods on Wednesday. Won't hold my breath though, it was forecast for one day last week too! :(
Gillysdad,
Naah, they've been drinking 'winkle p*ss' for yonks.
I think it's called 'Fosters' or summat!

Those of us who enjoy our supply via Thames Water ain't scared! Since there were reports of millions of tonnes of sewage effluent being dumped into the Thames, (http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,3604,1377306,00.html ) and since Thames Water extract a large proportion of their water from rivers like the Thames ( page 12 of this document http://www.dwi.gov.uk/pubs/annrep05/Drinking%20water%202005%20-%20Part%203%20-%20Thames%20region.pdf ), I guess us softy southerners must be used to it.
Yep my understanding is that Londoners have been drinking recycled water/sewage for some time already.

been drizzling here for two days now, just when i need to treat the deck !
Might need to borrow the boss's power cleaner next weekend as well if this doesn't clear up today ! The pigeons haven't noticed that I've moved the feeders deliberately and the stupid things are still landing on the deck looking for breakfast ! Not conducive to a clean deck!!!
>:(
Well, it's been raining in Spain for 3 weeks now!!!! Thats where all the rain is!!

Just trying to figure out where the Muchamiel and Tres Cantos will stay during their short lives !

Is it mainly on the plain?
I am getting cross with the beeb 5 day forecast - it's been predicting rain here (N London) two days ahead for about a week now ... keeps bumping it up a day or two. Manyana, manyana. >:(
hehhehe! lol pye!!
well we had a whole 5 mins of very light rain this afternoon before it blew over :( :(
we had enough drizzle this morning to prevent the OH from oiling the deck.
then it didn't rain all day until about 20 mins ago and that stopped after about 10 mins. ! he could have done one coat at least.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's raining. :) :)
Just a tad here, I emptied half a thimble full out of the water butt. ;D ;D ;D
Drizzle and light rain all day in Birmingham. The soil next to the bus stop was wet to a depth of about half an inch. It's a start.
0.57 inches since yesterday, I took a quick look at the plot tonight and the weeds are loving it!
