Title: First new potatoes of 2007
Post by: Mrs Ava on April 17, 2007, 23:42:56
I dug up the few volunteers on the plot today as I needed to start getting my brassicas is, and I found these beauties.  My darling had them for his supper with home grown cauli - MY FIRST!, and home grown french beans - from the freezer.  The pork chop wasn't home grown unfortunately.

Don't know if volunteers really count Tim.  The maincrop volunteers I have dug up had nothing but the left behind spud which makes me sure these were an early.  Of course, some have now started to grow in my onion patch, but they will have to stay until I clear my hunions.
