Title: Toms and salads in Glasshouse border.
Post by: aob9 on April 14, 2007, 09:46:26
This year I am going to plant some tomatoes in my glasshouse border soil. I intend to plant a beefsteak variety. I would like to sow salad leaves in the same soil around the plants to make use of the space. Is this is okay?I am especially reffering to the regular feeding of the tomatoes and how it will affect the salads.

We grow the toms in big black pots with the bottom cut out and underplant with Parsley, Basils and Tagetes... the Tom found goes into the big pot...

in the poly, I underplant(well about 12" away) with salad leaves, marigolds, basil, early on radish, spring onions, everything gets a feed and all seems o.k  :)
