Title: Has anyone got any spare...?
Post by: sally_cinnamon on April 13, 2007, 11:27:45
... Chillies?  Of any kind really.  I didn't buy any as I was counting on my cayenne saved seeds seeing me through this season, but so far after three attempts, not one has germinated!  :'(   And I LOVE growing chillies!  So if anyone has a couple of spares floating around, I'd be very grateful.  I have a long list of veg/flower swaps available...

Also, does anyone have a melon seed?  I fancy growing one in my mini greenhouse/patio windows once the seedlings have moved on!

:)

I sow mine on the 1st of Jan every year and never have problems with them, they do need it fairly moist to germinate, i sow them early as they like a long growing season :)

We kick start them in a propagator then grow on in the greenhouse but don't start really early... not until March. Have pricked out about 80 of various sorts. Only got one purple dragon to germinate tho'
