Title: Kitchen Garden Magazine - lettuce plug plants
Post by: OliveOil on April 10, 2007, 08:29:11
Can anyone find the form for the free lettuce plants in the magazine???? I cannot find it anywhere, it tells you to go to the inside cover and there is nothing there relating to ordering the freebees...

Cheers OliveOil - I was going to email them today too.  Bit silly of them  (but usually their offers are good).

I also hunted in vain, then read more closely and suspect there should have been an extra 'flap' over the main cover with the offer on...dunno what happened there! ;D

P&P is £2.99 on that offer, so I'm inclined to agree that I could get a lot more plants for my pennies! As I'm just about to place a top up seed order with Mr Etty, methinks a couple of packets of interesting lettuce might be in order.......as if I need an excuse! ;D ;D

I do grow salad leaves  in my salad box and mix my own lettuce, but space is a premium and lettuce seedlings if cheap enable me to do other things. I very rarely buy plants of anything unless a very good buy , with  lettuce  I don't care so much what kind it is. Had it been caulis or toms etc I would not have bought them, these will go in and when the rush is off I will grow my own specifics. I do have 2 types in a raised bed now that will be ready way before the plug plants are. They were started weeks ago, (part of my salad box)but only a few because of space.
