Title: Cauliflowers with yellow leaves
Post by: Joe11 on April 07, 2007, 20:50:29
This is my first post one here so first of all a big HI to everyone. But heres my problem, about a week ago i got some cauliflower plants from a garden centre and i came home and planted them but now over the past week the bottom 2 leaves have gone yellow. I was thinking that it might just be the shock of being planted outside and am hoping they will recover but is this a sign of a more seriouse problem? the plants are about 3-4 inches high if that makes any difference. And the ground they are planted on has not been used to grow veggies before.

Cheers
Joe

welcome, joe..could it be a nitrogen deficiency ?..we put chicken pellets down, rake it in, then plant brassicas..no doubt there'll be some other ideas  :)

They will most likely be the seed leaves (cotyledons) and it is faily normal for this to happen!
