Title: Nestbox Cam
Post by: h2yoho on April 07, 2007, 02:38:52
Hi everybody. That time of year again. Can't believe how fast time has gone.
Anyway, I have my nestbox cam up & running for the 2007 season, and thought you'd like to know.
I have a bluetit in the process of building, so if you want to have a peep, pop along  here.  (http://h2yoho.camstreams.com/) I have a microphone in the nestbox, but will not switch that on till later, that is if I can get it operating properly. Bit of interference at the moment, but working on it. Meanwhile, you may hear birdsong. That was the Dawn Chorus, recorded on the morning of 5/4/07.
Don't forget to take, and post, screenshots of any decent action.
Thankyou, and enjoy.   :D

BTW. Cams will be on during daylight hours, BST. If you get a grey picture, it's night, and not a lot to see.
Also. Please use a username, make yourself known, and join in the chat. We're a friendly bunch. well, most of us anyway.  lol

Do you know what Dennis? Ive great news myself, for the very first time the blue tits have moved into one of my boxes .....yeahhhhhh .....cant tell you how happy i am.

My day now involves getting home from work, making a cuppa and sitting and watching the tits hard at work.

Oh the best things in life are free aren't they  ;D

Gutted, i got home from work the other day and my bluetit box had been attacked by something, really not sure what, possibly a cat, now my nesting tits have scarpered :'( ....and they had been working so hard these past few weeks building their nests, i had so much pleasure watching them hard at work.

Hubby rescued the box and resecured it, (as it had been pulled away off its brackets) and i hoped they might come back but ive not even seen them feeding in the garden, no sight of them anywhere   :'(  :'(

That's a wonderful webcam.  It's so close.  The chicks have lots of feathers now, they are so cute.

PS copy paste the link into the browser to go directly to the nest.  The link only takes you to the main page if you click on it.

this is so frustrating - any ideas what I can try to make it work ?  I've tried 3 different machines on two different networks and can't see it on any of them.

We use Opera and block pop ups.  Have also tried in Explorer and 'allow pop ups' .. still no success.

MC55 - don't know what prob is - i use yahoo and sometimes i can't see webcams. This is one of the first ones i can see. quite often on here i can't see photos too. I get a little box with a red cross in it. I am hopeless with computers though. I don't like exploring too far in and BIL who is my computer expert is in columbia so utterly useless!
Why don't you try in the computer section, I've had a few probs solved from there, as usual for a4a!!  ;D

fantastic stuff h2yoho.

Second year running I've had no interest in my box, so next year it will be moved to allow an easier flight path.  I put it round the side of the shed to keep it out of the sun, but then we've had to sun to speak of anyway.

back to watching yours for another 5 mins.

;D
