We like!! How about smell? Our neighbour's lilac is giving us a lot of pleasure. = Tim
Lovely photos sunflower - is that a standard lilac you have? I have a variagated weigela(Weigela varigata) looks like the same variety as yours, but not flowering yet.
Smell is gorjus, keep forgetting it`s there & i go outside & think what is that lovely smell then i realise its my lilac ;D
It`s a dwarf variety, only have a small garden but had to have a lilac.
Looks like Syringa meyeri Palibin. Tis dwarf and smell wonderful and flowers just a little later than the big ones.
We used to have an old lilac (dont know variety) growing in our boundary hedge. wonderfull sight this time of year. then the neighbours took it down and replaced the hedge with a fence (interwoven panels - yuk!).
I did save a few suckers and have planted a couple, and while they are doing well, havent flowered yet. :(
Lovely, pretty shades of pink, Sunflower !
