Post by: sunflower on May 17, 2004, 16:52:56
Just a few things in flower at moment, first one is a dwarf lilac (http://img56.photobucket.com/albums/v172/saraheb/100_0179.jpg)(http://img56.photobucket.com/albums/v172/saraheb/100_0178.jpg)[/img]
Then a weigelia, not sure which one.(http://img56.photobucket.com/albums/v172/saraheb/100_0180.jpg)
Then a aquligia growing in with the weigelia(http://img56.photobucket.com/albums/v172/saraheb/100_0181.jpg). Hope you like :)

Lovely photos sunflower - is that a standard lilac you have?  I have a variagated weigela(Weigela varigata) looks like the same variety as yours, but not flowering yet.

We used to have an old lilac (dont know variety) growing in our boundary hedge. wonderfull sight this time of year. then the neighbours took it down and replaced the hedge with a fence (interwoven panels - yuk!).

I did save a few suckers and have planted a couple, and while they are doing well, havent flowered yet. :(
