Just loving this series of The Apprentice. I know, to many reality shows but I do so enjoy watching these Jack the lads (and Jills) wheeling and dealing. Tre would drive me insane!
Was really good tonight! It is full of characters again this year. What an aggressive man Tre is, but it makes for great TV. Can't wait for next week's prog. Alan Sugar is great and always comes out with some brilliant putdowns. :D busy_lizzie
Love The Apprentice - it's about the only "reality" show I really watch. Do they really believe all that motivational jargon? Brings back memories of sitting in on meetings taking minutes etc - Yuk
i love it too!
I bet they keep tre in right until the end just for entertainment value. he is a right pain!
Did anyone watch "you're fired" on bbc 2? I felt so sorry for the team leader guy who got fired- they really put the nails in his coffin poor guy looked destroyed!
I too like watching the Apprentice. Sir Alan's no nonsense approach and manner is something i really admire.
As for the team leader who got fired, he meant well (and nothing wrong with bit of team dicipline as far as i am concerned), he just got things wrong and was unlucky.
Double Firing? Great stuff Sir A!

Yeah, but he was wearing Moet Chandon cufflinks! what did he expect!!
I love watching but I have no sympathy for the weasels, most of them would sell their own grandmother!! :) :)
Oh pot! I forgot it was on. I like The Apprentice, it's about the only reality programme worth watching for me.Off to look for a repeat now. ;D
The only two programs i watch religiously are Prison Break & The Apprentice. Love this series, have a lot of time for Alan Sugar. As for Tre.... hhhmmm. He wont be there at the end. I certainly wouldnt work for him - nor the numpty who got voted off neither ;D

its repeated on the following tuesday about 7pm. might be on bbc 2. i love it too. dont you think most of them are just dim? i think its great.
At long last the Geordie git gets the shove so If anyone comes across Phillip smack him in the gob from me, ;D
he is a real bully wasn't he, tho I was sure it would be lorraine. who decided to send him out with kate, his mind wasn't on the job at all
marg
QuoteI was sure it would be Lorraine
me too................she ( and her gut instinct ) would drive me mad though.....but Philip took the bait :o
Being a slow burner Lorraine won't last (fingers crossed). The remark about having a relationship should not of been for the boardroom. She even said she had to mention it to try and save herself because she was on her way out..
I reckon the final three could be Yasmina, James and a toss up between Debra & Kate
Place your bets.... who do you reckon will win now ::) ::)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/apprentice/
I can't say I like any of them :(
Othermarg,
I think his mind was right on the job if you know what I mean, ;D
Phil had to go.
Not a big fan of Lorraine but she sold the most and she chose the right two to take into the boardroom...she was very fair to Ben and remembered he'd got the meeting for her.
Yasmina could be a winner she is quite cunning. She argued with Lorraine during the day but was careful to support her in the boardroom so she didn't get picked.
Don't like any of them much this time.
Personally i think they are all pretty hopeless. The winning team always seems to win by default , i.e. the other team messed up more than them rather than being particularly good at the task. Good TV though, you can always guarantee a good showdown with 'Sralan' in the boardroom each week.
Will be very interesting to see who comes out on top at the end. Cant say at the moment who will even be in the final!
PS: heck of a topic 'bump'! 2 years no post then suddenly a flurry of postings.
Yes they all seem to be particularly stupid...they never listen to what they are told.
for example this week Sir alan had arranged two appointments for them (hint pick the products which would suit these outlets!!!!!!!).
I did like the sleeping bag...I hate mummy bags they are so claustrophobic what a good idea that was/is.
Where do they find these duffers? If thats the creme de la creme of talent no wonder the countries in the state it is.
I think James could be the next Tommy Cooper, I find him hilarious.
Jokeface is mad but good. Got through by the skin of her teeth yesterday though.
As far as the sleeping suit's concerned. Surely its body heat that keeps you warm in a sleeping bag though, like mittens keeping all your fingers warm. It would keep all your limbs seperate so you'd lose heat.
What I do not understand is why anyone would want to work for him?All that forelock pulling would drive me crazy.
I think they are more keen on becoming celebs :o
I like Alan Sugar, think he is really a great big softie at heart, but don't think I would want to work for him.
I like him too, he seems down to earth and dislikes bigheads and show-offs. He hasn't come from money so he'll be more rounded.
Yep I would like to give Sir Alan a cuddle too
Duke ;D
What are you on about Duke....thought you was a laydeeeeeeee ;D
Rounded?........never.
He sent a mail to all his staff instructing them to call him Sir Alan. ::)
Would a rounded person make such a programme?
I would never call anyone sir.I believe in treating people with respect if they afford you the same courtsey.
Betula I will sort you out later !! Now wheres my punch in the face smily gone !!
Duke ;)
eeeeek never meant it Lady Duke ......honest ;D
The 'sir' nonsense is a bit rubbish. I still think comparatively speaking he doesn't seem too bad.
By the way Betula, YOU'RE FIRED!
I've got a lot of time for Sir Alan, I like his no nonsense attitude, I like the fact that he said recently that 'if I wanted I could write a cheque for £100 million within a week and it would clear'. Showing success is not something us Brits are good at but I'd like to be in that position.
But more than that, of Jonathon Ross recently he said..
'I think Jonathan should pack it in. He's getting too old now,' he says. 'Stop trying to be a silly little boy running with the youngsters. With his crudeness and all that. Pack it in and move on. Gah!'
Fantastic!
Sugar is good, and the Geordie was a thingy, but Lorraine, she's got the sort of face you want to smack with a wet fish. ;D ;D ;D
Well I just love Judge John Deed, Martin Shaw, although he has got a bit older lately. I just love his voice, my second choice would be SIR Alan Sugar, even if he didn't have all that money. I don't mind calling him Sir. Did quite like Alan Titchmarsh but think he has got a bit over opiniated and his nose is too big. Right at the bottom of my list is Jonathan Ross, I certainly would never, ever employ him.
Betula,
mens bits, Sir Alan Sugar in a knight of the realm and out of common courtesty and respect I would address him that way, I spent six years of my life addressing total pricks in the Army but again I was addressing the commission and not the fool, :)
Mens bits to you an all Mr Smith :P ::) :P
i wonder if it all gets a bit confusing in the Egyptian version of The Apprentice
-you're Fired!
-no, he's Fayed. I'm al-Haroun-Rashid......
i'll get me coat :P

I agree, Borlotti,Martin Shaw has a lovely voice, but I saw him in the theatre in Man for All Seasons and his voice just didn't carry at all. Very disappointinh :( :( :(
Oh well, will have to cross Martin Shaw off my wish list and stick with Sir Alan or the cat.

Exactly, You call him 'Sir' out of respect for the title bestowed upon him by The Queen in recognition for all he has done for the country etc. If you had done enough to be given a knighthood wouldn't you want to have it recognized by people?
That said even if you aren't a knight of the realm, i think being called sir is a pretty decent way to address any man (that deserved the respect it suggests). I would much rather hear a stranger call me sir rather than the all to frequently used 'mate'!
I sent Alan Sugar an invite for a pork 'butty' at a local deli to discuss why he would employ anyone from such a bunch of elected 'twats' that he is willing to pay '£100,000?' per annum.
He didn't reply - I wonder why?
Already yet!

Yeah its for TV its "entertainment" ::) Sir Alan gets richer every season do you really think the £100,000 is a major issue to him !!
Perhaps not Duke.
I wouldn'd pay Sugar in washers!
