Title: devils watering can
Post by: sarah on April 01, 2007, 16:14:12
i have given up today everything i touch goes pear shaped. i bought a rubbish indoor watering can to water my seedlings and seeds. its rubbish it dribbles water everywhere and is no better than putting the trays under the tap. i got really cross with it and dumped it down rather too hard on the kitchen table where it proceeded to splash water all over my sons homework book (oops). then, having cleared that all up i realised i had set it down on an angle and it had tipped over and spilled what water remained into my box of seeds. ??? aarrrggghhhhhh!!!

We all suffer occassions like this when we feel the world is against us. I have had 4 things go wrong with my car this past 10 days to the tune of over £500 all in. So hopefully the end is nigh. Seeds are cheaper to replace though ;D

Oh dear Sarah, poor you, what a cr***y day you've had  :(

Best medicine is to sit down with a large g&t and forget all about the nasty watering can  ;) ;D

It'll be a better day tomorrow x

ah yes i do feel a little better now. the seeds were quickly put to rights and sons homework dried out ok. you are  right KT - not much to complain about in the grand scheme of things really; sorry to hear about your car.  thanks for the sympathy guys and gals. i am gonna enjoy the rest of the evening with some choccy and telly (if theres anything on).  wonderful husband has taken kids out to watch monster truck racing and its half term so no ironing kids uniforms yay!  peace and quiet.

Sounds good... Small Triff doesn't break up for Easter till end of Tuesday, so you can smugly think of me still ironing/ packing lunchbox/ gathering scattered bits of homework. :D

Have a lovely, lazy evening and I hope tomorrow's better for you. :)

I know the feeling KT... insurance, tax and tomorrow MOT... told the garage that they are repairing it not selling it, and if it is more than £350 I'm not going to collect it!
:-X

Bless you sarah, i see what you mean now about rotten day! Praise be for half term. Was v. smug and washed and ironed all uniform so it's banished out of sight and mind for 2 weeks. Even better, girls get to wear checky dresses when they go back so NO MORE SHIRTS! Yay!
I bought one of those pump action mister thingies from poundland for seedlings, works very well!  ::)

It never rains, it pours, or so it seems.  Just as we claw back some cash, something happens to wipe the bank account clean again.  However, on the up side, all of my seeds are germinating well, the allotment is looking great, and I have 2 weeks off work and I plan to spend as much of those 2 weeks gardening at home, in the greenhouse or on the allotment.   See, every cloud has a silver lining.

Wonder how many more cliches I could squeeze in....  ;D
